The Network Security Monitoring & Packet Analysis Meetup (Traffic Talk) meet at 2:00PM on every first Saturday of Each Month at The Black Chamber Lab, Jormo Street – West Lands in Accra.
We in Detectware Security Group are not aware of any other active NSM group in Ghana, and have the ambitious goal of being a premier place for students, professionals, and hobbyists, from all over to share their research, tools, and techniques in a laid back and friendly environment.
Network Security Monitoring & Packet Analysis Meetup (Traffic Talk) aims to provide a place for network security analyst, digital forensic experts and those interested in information security to share tricks, solutions, work on projects, and other knowledge about the subject. Come join us!
Whether you are brand new to network intrusion detection, an incident responder, or a long-time network security veteran, you must always boil any situation down to its basic facts.
This meet-up will arm you with the knowledge you need to defend your network from attackers, both the obvious and the not so obvious through detection, collection and analysis.
The monthly meeting will be honing analysis skills on networking security monitoring (NSM) activity and a CTF challenge where you monitor, capture, analyze network packets (PCAP) and answer related questions.
A hangout for system admins, network admins, pen testers, incident responders, consultants, and general IT security enthusiasts.
Bring your WiFi-enabled laptop (8-16GB Memory) and your preferred tools for exploration (packet analysis software and sample pcaps) will be provided.
